Every single woman I know has been followed and harassed in public by a men and subjected to inappropriate behavior including being groped, flashed and threatened so it’s not like these are isolated incidents. It’s not prejudice to point this out, it’s fact.
Men are the perpetrators of this type of behavior and its entitely appropriate to address an article to men in general. Anyone with half a brain will recognize that not all men do these things and this article is not accusing all men of being rapists or creeps.
Some men might not think there’s anything wrong with pulling up beside an attractive woman to say hi because they don’t realize how frightening this can be. Only one 16 year old girl on the way home from a shopping trip was dragged into a car and ne ver seen again in my town when I was growing up, but that kind of thing tends to stick with you.
If you could put your fragile ego to the side maybe you’d finally get it.
What’s being rescued by men got to do with anything? This comment is completely bizarre and shows the caliber of your thinking. You seem to have a real problem with women speaking up for themselves so we don’t need to be ‘rescued. ‘
