I had a client I created content for who insisted on white people for images even though this is not reflective of their demographic. It was extemely frustrating. They quoted marketing studies which claimed these images got a better response in their industry, regardless of the actual users of their products. I told them this is only because of the general lack of diversity in advertising, but to no avail.
