I totally agree. The one resource of ours that dogs need above everything else is time. Walking, throwing a ball and cuddles are all free.

Unfortunately too many people think buying expensive toys and food is enough while their dog is alone all day, and is then ignored when they do get home.

Time-poor people who are not willing to put in the effort for a dog should get a cat because they are much lower maintenance.
