I totally agree. My partner and I have taken it a step further and don't even have a joint account. We contribute to the bills as agreed, and what we do with our money after that is our business. He is a spender and now when I see him burning through his money I just have to look at my account where my savings are building. Its made for a more harmonious relationship.
