No I don’t know your point which is why I’m asking.

Men make up the majority of police officers. They also make up the vast majority of offenders when it comes to murder, sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic violence, stalking and unwanted public behavior such as catcalling, following women, touching and taking photos without permission.

Just because you don’t have to worry too much about being dragged into a car and raped you want to shut down women talking about behavior that makes us feel unsafe because you feel like it reflects badly on you as a man and that’s pathetic.

A middle-aged woman was raped in my local supermarket carpark by a teenager who approached her to ask if she’d seen his dog. This is a common tactic of rapists but if nothing had happened and she’d reported the fact he’d approached her to the police they would have laughed at her. Same with the woman in the story. We stay safe by talking about these things and also trying to help well-meaning men understand why certain behaviors are creepy and unsettling so they can avoid them.

Is this so hard to understand?
