Seems to me we’re only getting the daughters edited side of the story here. You forgot to mention that when her boyfriend dumped her she made up a lie about being gang-raped.

When on trial for the murder and attempted murder of her parents it’s in her interests to portray them as negatively as possible. The fact that she was able to lie to them on such a grand scale for years suggests they weren’t as controlling as she portrayed them to be. I believe she’s a sociopath and the murder plot was financially motivated.
