Thank you for highlighting how stupid this argument is. Imagine putting up with years of misery just to make sure you have someone beside you as you take your last gasp (assuming they don’t die first and that you die in circumstances which allow them to be there, which is obviously not guaranteed). The truth is at the end of the day we all die alone, no matter how many people are in the room.

What they really have an issue with is women living on their own because the idea that a woman can be perfectly happy by herself is so threatening to their fragile egos.
