The pandemic proves once and for all that Trump could literally do anything, and some people would continue to support him. I believe for some it’s a matter of pride because if they back down now and admit what an absolute disaster he is then in their eyes the 'libtards' have won. For others Trump’s ugliness matches the ugliness in their own souls and they’ll defend him till the day they die. Even if that day comes much sooner than expected because they refuse to follow precautions, you can count on the fact they will be defending him with their last gasps.
