Yes, it has to do specifically with tampons. Some mothers don’t like their daughters using them, and although I personally believe they’re the best things ever invented, I think the step mom should respect the mothers wishes. It’s been so long since I read this article but I’m assuming the stepmom knew the mother didn’t want her daughter using tampons. If she didn’t know then obviously not her fault.
